10 Ways to Use Pantone’s Color of the Year

By Zoco Admin

While we highly value originality at ZoCo, we also love keeping up with the latest design trends to stay relevant in this fast-paced creative world.

Looking to make your 2016 trendier?

You might want to start with Pantone’s color of the year. This year, the color experts at Pantone surprised many (and disgusted a few) with a pair of colors crowned together: Rose Quartz and Serenity. And love it or hate it, we’re already seeing these pastels take over.

Here are 10 creative ways you can bring this trendy color combo into your everyday life to show the world how current you are:

1. Make your own Instagram filter

For that dreamy cotton candy sunset vibe.

2. Dye your hair

3. Dye Easter eggs

These are classic Easter colors. Use food coloring and you won’t even have to buy a special kit unless you want that wire dipper thingy.

4. Dye anything

Scarves, shirts, curtains, your pup**…the list goes on.

5. Paint a gender-neutral baby room

Painting a gradient wall takes some patience but it’s worth it to not force those pesky traditional gender roles on your baby.

8. Make cupcakes

Most appropriate for Easter or a baby shower.

7. Design wedding invitations

There’s always a friend who needs wedding invites.

8. Spruce up your office with flowers

9. Dress like you’re on a yacht

This one is for the guys who may have felt left out of this trend. Real men wear pink.

10. Do your makeup like it’s 1989

Sephora has a Pantone makeup collection.

Even Ariana knows the 90s are back.
